MINERAL WELLS, W. Va. – Adam Scott carded a 10-over
par 152 score to lead Slippery Rock University to a 10th-place
finish in the Burger King Invitational golf tournament at the
Woodridge Plantation Golf Course.
Concord (W. Va.) College won the team title with a score of 591;
The Rock was 37 strokes off the pace at 628.
Other scores for Rock golfers included Dan Rodgers at 154
(tied for 33rd place), Mario Verticelli at 157 (tied for
52nd), Chris Marren at 159 (tied for 61st) and Matt
Walsh at 160 (tied for 64th).
The Rock’s next match will be the Hal Hansen Invitational
hosted by Clarion University on Sept. 22-23.
