ERIE, Pa. -- Junior forward Nicole Davis scored her team-leading ninth and 10th goals of the season while sophomore forward Misty Dennis added her second as Mercyhurst blanked Slippery Rock, 3-0, Wednesday in college women’s field hockey action at Tullio Field.

Mercyhurst improved to 4-3 while The Rock dropped to 1-8.

The Lady Lakers outshot Slippery Rock by a 21-3 margin. Rock goalie Tara Bailey recorded five saves.

The Rock will host Indiana U. of Pa. at 1 p.m. on Saturday in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference game on Bob DiSpirito Field at N. Kerr Thompson Stadium.
